چکیده
Fiber-based multi-wavelength lasers have a variety of important applications in telecommunication and meteorology. We experimentally study fiber loop laser with an integrated Erbium doped (EDF). The output optical spectrum is measured as function the EDF temperature. find that below critical temperature about exhibits sequence narrow unequally-spaced peaks. An intriguing connection between peaks' wavelengths prime numbers discussed. hypothesis, which attributes comb formation to intermode coupling, explored.

متن کاملTemperature Distribution of Particles in a Laser Beam
This article studies the particle temperature distribution depending on the laser radiation power and the particle’s trajectory and velocity. The uneven heating of particles moving in the laser radiation field is identified. The regimes of laser heating without melting, with partial melting, and with complete particle melting are considered.
متن کاملSelf-starting low-noise fiber soliton laser.
We report a self-starting passively mode-locked soliton source generating 1-ps-wide pulses. The laser is configured as a ring with an erbium-doped fiber gain medium, a length of conventional fiber that provides the required dispersion and Kerr nonlinearity, and an intracavity multiple-quantum-well optical amplifier that serves as a saturable absorber and pulse stabilizer. The laser exhibits low...
متن کاملAll-fiber dual wavelength passive Q-switched fiber laser using a dispersion-decreasing taper fiber in a nonlinear loop mirror.
This paper describes a proposal and successful demonstration of a dual wavelength all-fiber passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber ring laser. The Q-switch operation was realized by using a nonlinear loop mirror that incorporated an unbalanced dispersion-decreasing taper fiber to act as a saturable absorber without additional elements. This setup enabled a fiber ring laser to achieve a perform...
متن کاملUsing a Fiber Loop and Fiber Bragg Grating as a Fiber Optic Sensor to Simultaneously Measure Temperature and Displacement
This study integrated a fiber loop manufactured by using commercial fiber (SMF-28, Corning) and a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) to form a fiber optic sensor that could simultaneously measure displacement and temperature. The fiber loop was placed in a thermoelectric cooling module with FBG affixed to the module, and, consequently, the center wavelength displacement of FBG was limited by only the ef...
